1:160 scale model of Noah’s Ark

Two things that always fascinated me were Noah’s Ark and model railroading. Being a pastor, modeling Noah’s Ark to an N Scale model railroad was a great teaching tool. People always see the “bathtub” shaped Noah’s Ark drawings with the giraffe head sticking out the top and assume that it was not possible for the historical account to take place in the Bible as God said it did. This portable display shows the size of the Ark compared to trains, a town, cars, trucks, as well as a three story building.

Details about the Ark:

• Information about Noah’s Ark can be found in Genesis chapter 6 of the Bible.
• It measured approximately 460’x75’x45’ (using a cubit as 18”).
• That is the equivalent volume of 522 standard American railroad stock cars.
